Members of the Tallahassee Board of REALTORS® are “digging deep” – into their closets, storage, and even their homes – to give back to the community. On April 28, 2007 from 8 a.m. until 12 noon, we will host our first city-wide yard sale at the Tallahassee Board of REALTORS® office at 1029 Thomasville Road. A fundraising campaign for our Habitat for Humanity REALTORS® Build in Memory of Pepper Ghazvini, this event is a part of our ongoing efforts to raise $50,000 to fully sponsor a Habitat build and provide an opportunity for the community to participate in a valuable way.
And boy, will there be stuff… good stuff! Area REALTORS® have pledged inventory ranging from clothes dryers to furniture; Big Bend Habitat for Humanity will contribute a truckload of unused carpets, lighting fixtures, sinks, and other useful home necessities; and there is more coming!
There will be bidding wars, donuts and coffee for sale, and ample space for you to park your truck to load big ticket items with ease. There will be friendly REALTORS® on hand to help you negotiate prices, and you won’t need to obtain third-party financing for your purchase!
And did I mention that there is going to be some GOOD STUFF?
The greatest thing about this yard sale is that when the dust settles and the entire inventory
is sold, 100% of the proceeds will go towards facilitating the costs of construction of a home
for a deserving family in our community.
So, whether you are a novice or a yard sale aficionado, this event is an opportunity to hone
your skills, enjoy the morning air, and purchase a piece of someone else’s lifestyle at a great
price and for a worthy cause. Even if you do not buy anything, you will have an opportunity to
make a donation to Big Bend Habitat for Humanity.
We invite you to join us! And if you would like to be involved by donating your GREAT STUFF
towards the sale, please contact your favorite local REALTOR® for more information.
