Are you getting ready to put your home on the market and dreading it? I am not talking about all the cleaning and the repairs that probably should have been completed months ago but you put off for whatever reason. Now, you are going to hate to leave that dream kitchen that you always wanted and you
finally have, since you had to update it to make your home marketable. In fact with all the things you’ve accomplished you’re asking yourself, “Why move?” If you are asking that question then you probably have done all the right things.
Now on to the next phase . . . showing your home. Every REALTOR® has his or her way or doing things. After you have decided with your REALTOR® on the proper pricing of your home based on current market values, here are some basic guidelines that will never fail you and will make you and your REALTOR® an unbeatable team:
• Tell your REALTOR® what attracted you to the house.
• Turn on those lights and let the sun shine in!
• Strong odors can weaken a possible sale.
• Turn off the television; soft music on the radio is nice.
• Understand that, for showings, your REALTOR® will suggest that you remain
out of the house.
You trust your REALTOR® with your most expensive asset, and they want you to sell your home. Your cooperation and personal knowledge about your home and neighborhood, along with your REALTOR®’s expertise in the real estate market will get your house sold!
