Capital Area Technology & REALTOR® Services, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Tallahassee Board of REALTORS®. CATRS (kate•ers) operates the Multiple Listing Service, MLS helpdesk, and REALTOR® Store; provides MLS and technology training; and offers discounted PC maintenance and support services.

PC Diagnostic ($30 members/$45 nonmembers) - Is your computer or laptop freezing up? Are you constantly seeing the “blue screen of death” (BSOD), or is your computer running slow? Unsure if it’s worth the investment to upgrade your computer memory or hard drive? Let CATRS support staff run a comprehensive diagnostic on your PC or laptop to determine whether your PC should be upgraded or if it is preferable to purchase a new one.
 
Auxiliary Paragon MLS PC Setup ($55) – CATRS support staff will configure your new or used PC to run Paragon MLS with all of its functionality. Service includes install and configuration of the following components needed to properly run Paragon: Internet Explorer, pop-up blockers, Adobe Reader, and Sun Java Console. (TBR members may still take advantage of free phone support through the TBR and LPS helpdesks.) CATRS recommended antivirus and antispyware products installed upon request.
 
Static Data Backup Service ($55 members/$75 nonmembers, price covers 2 DVDs or 8GB of data) – If your PC or laptop crashes, becomes infected with a virus, or worse—suffers a hardware failure—how safe is your data? CATRS support staff will back up your PC data to DVD, which is the most reliable medium for static file and folder backups.
 
Managed Domain and Email Setup ($60 members/$75 nonmembers)* – Would you like to have your own personalized web domain and email address? We can perform and manage the following: purchase and register your web domain for you in your name; set up email hosting and email accounts, forwarders; set up email to work through Outlook on one PC or laptop; import the TBR roster into Outlook as contacts. *(Client is responsible for purchase of domain and hosting expenses.)
 
PC Pre-Purchase Consulting ($30 members/$45 nonmembers, 60 min. in person or phone consultation) – If you need a new PC, you may find that with so many choices it’s difficult to decide which PC or laptop is the right one for your needs. We can assist you in designing and picking out the right PC or laptop, and explain current and upcoming technologies that may affect your purchase decision. Computer specification, such as hard drive space, memory, type of operating system, processing speed, and additional software application including antivirus and warranty is made available in printed or electronic format.
 
1-to-1 Individualized Training Session ($25 members/$55 nonmembers, 30-minute increments) – Receive personalized training from CATRS instructors on the following applications:
Paragon MLS
Microsoft Outlook
Microsoft Excel 2007
Form Simplicity
Windows 7
Other application training may be available to you, just ask.
 
Managed Online Data Backup Service ($75 members/$95 nonmembers, per PC) – If your PC or laptop crashes, becomes infected with a virus, or worse—suffers a hardware failure—how safe is your data? CATRS support staff will setup your online backup with an industry-leading backup solution. Once your PC is set up, CATRS will service the PC bi-annually for adjustments in files and folders to be backed up as well as making necessary changes to your backup schedule. (Service does not include restoration of data to PC if data loss occurs.)
